My wife, Linda, and I have been members of LRBC since the church was started. I grew up in Wheaton and moved to Byron in 1966. Almost immediately I was drafted into the Army. When I got out of the Army, I came back home and became a member of First Baptist Church in Byron. Linda and I married in 1971 and moved to a farm outside of Leaf River. Linda grew up in Bradford, TN when she was young; she moved to Byron, became a member of First Baptist Church of Byron, and graduated high school there. It really is amazing how God put us together, one from Tennessee and one from Wheaton. We have two married children and four grandchildren.
While at First Baptist Church, I was the Sunday School Supervisor and a Deacon. With the blessing and guidance of First Baptist Church, Leaf River Baptist Church was establilshed. Linda and I are charter members of LRBC, and I have been an Elder since 1990.
